Surrogacy in Iran

In Iran, surrogacy is legal, but Iran is not popular for this process. Today, those who want to do such procedure are more attracted to countries like Ukraine or Russia, which offer guaranteed programs.

Although in terms of fairness it must be said that Iran confidently ranks first in the region in research in the field of infertility and infertility treatment, and the success in this field in the country is admirable. However, compared to other areas of reproductive medicine, surrogacy is not given as much attention as it deserves. But still, some analysts predict in the near future the transformation of surrogacy in Iran into a kind of fashion, which will further emphasize the stratification of Iranian society into rich and poor. One way or another, but still it seems that Iran, for many reasons, mainly of a social nature, will not soon become attractive for the implementation of surrogacy programs.
