Surrogacy in India

In India, surrogacy is only allowed for Indian citizens. Since November 2015, for foreigner intentional parents, this procedure has become illegal in India. Until then, this country was very popular for hosting programs here. This is due to the fact that India, being a third world country and having a very low standard of living of the population, offered indescribably low prices for surrogacy. Nowadays, the entire flow of applicants has been redirected to undergo surrogacy programs in Ukraine and Russia, as it is here that it is possible to obtain guarantees and legally regulated relationships in this area.

As for the centers of "reproductive medical tourism" in India, today they have lost their former importance in this area.
