Surrogacy in Germany

In Germany, surrogacy is illegal, the mother of a child is the woman who gave birth to him. Germans undergo surrogacy programs in countries such as Ukraine or Russia, which provide guarantees for the surrogacy process, and also very clearly regulate all possible details by law.

The fact, is that the matter of the prohibition of surrogacy in Germany does not stop some of its residents and they are try to solve problems directly in their country. Such cases are relatively infrequent and usually do not end well. A doctor who takes on such responsibility can face up to three years of imprisonment or a huge fine.

It is also worth noting that in recent years in Germany the movement for the legalization of surrogacy at the legislative level has intensified, but this movement has not yet achieved concrete results. Time will tell how things will be in the future.
